I feel like my life force is being drained out of me!!

I had horrible periods with jaydess coil that lasted at least ten days and were really heavy. Had that removed a month ago and have been taking the pill. I had a huge bleed about four days after removal and have been bleeding on and off ever since. I ran two pill packs together and thought maybe I need a break. So I went on the week off on Friday last week and have had an awful awful week again! It’s heavy, it’s still bright red even today and it is showing no sign of stopping at all.

I’m having a mirena fitted today and am hoping beyond hope this helps. I’m fed up of bleeding constantly. My sex life is non existent, I know I can while bleeding but I don’t want to, and I’m just so tired all the time!

Please see your GP and request a gynae referral

If the Mirena is effective in the meantime then great, you can always cancel the referral but I would personally want to be seen by a specialist

Getting a gp appointment here is like rocking horse shit! Plus all they want to do is put me on the pill again.

I’m going to call doctor next week as it’s just getting silly. I’m completely drained all the time. It’s only since ds was born but it’s not got any better on the last 20 months.

I’m hoping the Mirena helps but if not I’ll pursue this. It’s just causing me no end of stress and having sex is just out of the question. It’s still heavy today!

So I had it done by a lovely pair of nurses who made the whole experience far less stressful than I thought it would be. And for the first time in a long time this evening I’ve had a wee that wasn’t red.

The nurse said she didn’t understand why I was given the jaydess as they usually give that to younger girls as it’s not got any of the other benefits the mirena has and is mainly just a contraceptive. Time will tell but I just hope it sorts me out as my periods have been awful since I had my son. She said my womb was large which may be why I bleed a lot - a 9lb baby will do that 😂
