New here...need some comfort...cancer worried

Hey all. I'm pretty new here hoping for some reassurance. I may ramble I've only had one coffee this morning Confused
So here goes. For nearly a year I started with severely painful ovulation..so bad I've had to go to a&e for morphine more than once . Over the months symptoms have developed further. Pain during sex followed, then over the past two months I've developed constant pain on my left side lower pelvis, have had bleeding after sex (may I add I never bleed after I got sterilized and had an ablation over a year ago) increased watery discharge quite severe bloating, awful headaches and pain when walking.
So get in touch with the Dr first he rules out urine infection which is initially what he thought. Second ruled out pelvic infection as all bloods are perfect. I went last week in agony and this is how it went. Dr tells me in beginning to worry him feels my stomach yet again and tells me it's good that I'm slim as he would be able to feel anything really big. Then in the next breath says if it was a cyst it would have to be huge to cause me problems.....then said I'm not saying cancer but this ultrasound needs to be imminent. Two days later receive the ultrasound letter for this Sunday. Ended up in a&e on morphine at the weekend as couldn't walk for the pain. So very worried its cancer. Has anyone had similar and it turned out to be something daft...going out of my mind.
Sorry for rambling Blush

Why did a&e not do a scan? Strange they just give out morphine without looking for a cayse.

Hoping you get some answers.Flowers

*cause

MissReginaPhilange · 01/05/2018 07:45

Nope they refused as I already had a scan booked in and it wasn't what they deem an emergency Hmm thanks me too. The waiting is killing me. Well that and the pain

What you describe symptom wise could be indicative of endometriosis particularly pain during sex (that is a common symptom of it) painful ovulation and pelvic pain. Any symptoms that are cyclical in nature should be flagged up to see if endometriosis is present.

Am not all that surprised unfortunately to read that no-one medical has seemingly mentioned endometriosis to you to date as a possible cause; its however very much under diagnosed.

You ought now to be referred to a gynaecologist for further evaluation. I would ask your GP to refer you to such a person.

A & E should have referred you to gynaecology rather than just fob you off with tablets. The internal ultrasound scan won't however detect any endometriosis deposits; its usually diagnosed through a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy.

Thanks for that I will definitely ask about this as I've read after thermal ablation scar tissue can build up where it shouldn't which I'm guessing is similar to endo. I just panicked when he said ovarian cancer as I wasn't even thinking about that until he mentioned it

Yes I was going to say Endometriosis as well.

nevermindthebollox · 01/05/2018 13:42

Are you up to date with your smear tests?

MissReginaPhilange · 01/05/2018 13:57

sure am but smear is only for cervical isnt it. This is ovary based issues

Yes smear is for cervical, I had cervical cancer a few years back, but my symptoms started with a pain in my left ovary (or in that area at least) increased watery discharge and bleeding after sex......I stupidly wasn't up to date with my smears, so I'm glad to hear that you are, I hope everything goes well for you

MissReginaPhilange · 01/05/2018 16:47

Oh god that's awful. Hope all.is well now . It's just worrying when you get symptoms that are out of the norm . Hoping it's something or nothing
