yes I am bunged up and in pain!

Had a d&c on friday, since then I think the anaesthetic and the painkillers they gave me have royally cocked up my poor innards.

I am drinking mucho water, wolfing fruit, been out for a walk...
when will it come!!!!

Have you spoken to your doctor, I had to have an enema a few weeks ago to get things going. I have always suffered with terrible constipation and now have a tear in my bum because of it and it's agony if I get constipated.

The enema was fine just a bit of liquid put up there and within minutes I was cleared.

I dont think Im at that stage yet.........

I never normally get it, ever! the meds must be really strong. Ive not taken any today though, so I think itll be ok soon...

You can buy glycerine suppositories OTC. Will sort everything out for you, and a bit more gentle than an enema.

glycerine...as in dynamite!!??

The anaesthetic and painkillers take all the water out of your lower gut, so everything comes to a halt, and gets blocked up. That is why you need to attack the problem at both ends (if you will pardon the expression) - dulcolax perls are good for a quickfix, and the suppositories will make the experience less painful.

(grin)VoodooMama - can be a bit explosive if there is a build up of gas too!!!
