Has anyone had their newborns stem cells preserved?

I am considering it for our next baby as our dd has a genetic syndrome that has led us through genetic counselling to appraoch this route, but at a cost of £1000 it is not incredibly affordable, but the what price huh..
Still thinking it raises a lot of questions for us though
