Any physio advice for my sore back.

Since I spent a lot of time in front of the computer last week I've had a really stiff/sore back since Thursday.
It's not sore while I'm sitting/lying and is most noticeable when I lie on my back and let my legs open (not a pretty picture!)or try and do a pelvic tilt.

It's kind of along the top of my hip bones at the back and after a couple of seconds - the pain/stiffness eases off. But is enough for me to go 'oowf' when I stand or do this leg opening position.

Should I - take brufen - or will this mask the pain and I could move in the wrong way and make it worse?
Should I excersise gently or not at all?
should I do any stretching for it?

try a wheat bag...also, keep mobile, i always take anti inflammatories and pain killers if it is really bad, or manage with out !

Get to a yoga class - a Dr. friend of mine advises yoga to all his back pain patients apparently it works wonders!

It should settle down. Do as lulumama says, avoid staying in one position too long, try to keep spine in neutral ie not arched or flat when sitting, and for the long term pilates is good (in small well supervised classes initally until you get the hang of it coz you need to do it correctly!)
