Smoky taste in mouth - never smoked

Over the last week or do I have a strong taste in my mouth which feels as if I have been smoking. I am a non smoker and always have been. At first I thought it might be the place I was which might have allowed smoking in the past or the person I was with - although she doesn't smoke either. But it's happened in different places and different people. I am sitting at my desk at work and I have it now - at the back of my throat and in my mouth.

I have been to the dentist recently and have no problems.

Has anyone else experienced this ?

I don’t want to worry you bit I have heard that smelling/tasting smoke or burning could be a symptom of before having a stroke. You should definitely get checked out.

I would imagine it is connected in some way to the epilepsy but not a doc. Good idea to go see GP.
