Painful neck and uncomfortable breast. Am stressing out!

Hi all. I've posted before about my painful neck . It's been lumpy and sore sinse September. My CRP levels have been slightly elevated sinse this time too.The GP doesn't seem bothered, but referred me for physio. ( I'm doing the exercises religiously, but with no improvement)

Over the last couple of months my breast on the same side is becoming increasingly uncomfortable. It is slightly bigger than the other and I'm overweight, so put it down to that. Today I felt a pea sized lump in my left armpit.

I guess my question is do you think this could all be related to my neck? I will book a GP apt this week, but I find my doctor very dismissive which makes me nervous!

Also, do you think the whole thing could be glandular? It seems to have all started after a really nasty UTI which spread to my kidneys ( though the GP feels that's
a coincidence) . I've been perfectly healthy before this, so health worry is new for me.

I'm just thinking out loud now because I'm freaking out a bit. Can anyone offer any insight? TIA.

Sorry I have no experience of this, but didn't want to leave your post unanswered. Hopefully someone more helpful will be along shortly :)

You definitely need to see the GP again as any unexplained breast changes need to be checked. Personally I would just focus on the breast - you have breast pain and found a lump, without bringing up the neck issue for now. Though if you are referred to the breast clinic (very likely with any breast issues, so do not panic if so) then obviously you should mention it to them.

I have pretty much the same thing, without the lump (not one I, or any doctor has felt anyway). But neck/shoulder/arm and breast pain on the same side.
I did go to the breast clinic about 6 months ago and was examined and given an ultrasound - breast is fine.
It has been particularly bad again lately so I’m going back to the doctors as it does worry me.
Not much help I know, but at least you know you aren’t the only one!

Thank you both for your replies. Yes. That's a good idea just to speak to GP about the breast... I always feel so anxious they'll think I'm being over dramatic, but better a false alarm than missing something sinister, I guess!

Little bird ... have you had any treatment for the pain at all?

No, nothing. Just said it’s not at all uncommon to experience breast pain for no unidentifiable cause.
I was seeing a Physio for various things and she was doing some work on my neck, but haven’t been able to afford to go for a while.

You're not being dramatic, just sensible. But sometimes people can be a bit blinkered, so if you mention the neck pain they might think "oh, not this again" rather than focusing on the new issue. Good luck Flowers

Thank you. Yes. That makes sense. I will book an apt on my day off on Friday.

Love your name... I miss parks and rec!
