DD asked 'the Question' about dh last night, and so we had to tell her the truth.

She was so brave, bless her.

Life can be so shitty sometimes. I find it hard enough to cope with it, let alone doing so at 10.

So proud of her

Oh MB

My immediate thought was the same as Marina's. She is your dd. Yours and DH's...you have matched her her courage with your strength and honesty. Be proud of yourselves, too.

Oh MB

Lets face it though, if strength of character is in any way genetic, she has inherited it in bucket loads from you and DH.

What a horrible thing for a 10 year old to have to face and to do so in such a brave way

I popped to this thread because I thought my dd was being brave because she fell over today and didn't cry. I felt extremely humbled when I read of your situation MB. I am a new poster here and don't know you at all but my heart goes out to you and your family. My thoughts are with you all.

Lots of love to you and well done for being able to discuss it with her, its the best thing you can do, my friend lost her dad to cancer at age 13 but no one had told her he was ill and he went quick, it took years for her to understand fully her parents motives. She feels she'd have been better told, so well done you, your v brave all of you {{{Hugs}}}
