Ankle and calf pain at night one leg

For about a week now, I've began getting pain mostly around my ankle, sometimes calf too, in one leg. Only when I get into bed at night and resting. It isn't a cramping pain, or a throbbing pain, more of an ache that gets sharpish then goes. It's uncomfortable but not so bad I would take pain killers. More of an irritation.

I don't know what's causing it however and wondered if anyone else has experienced this?

Get the doctor to check it out and make sure it's not a DVT. Could be nothing; could be really serious. Worth getting checked out to exclude the serious, especially as it's gone on a long time...

(Not a dr but have suffered from dvt!)
