What do they do? Do I have to have it? TBH I'm not sure I can be bothered with it, the woman who comes is about 15, and talks to you as though you are thick. Surely all she will be on about is weight, which I do every month at the clinic and weaning which I have read huge amounts of literature about??
Also I will have to clean the house up and I'm a lazy git......

Is that one where they see how well they can pick up a small object and react to sound/sit up etc because if it is, then maybe I'd do it. I always did the specific developmental ones, especially as there is now no 2 year check.
I'm sure she won't be looking at how messy/tidy your house is. Don't offer her a cup of tea and she'll leave sooner!

i believe you can say no to all things HV related. i certainly do.

PregnantGrrrl · 12/05/2007 15:56

i rang my HV and told her there was no need for DS's development check at 6mths. She asked why, i said he was v.advanced and i had no concerns (didn't mention she also gets on my nerves)I told her since he was sitting up straight, crawling and saying Dad, she'd probably find her time better spent elsewhere!

I'll tell her not to bother then. She's sitting, damn near crawling and I have no concerns.
Cheers
