I tried my best to contain it when it started with my five year old on Friday. Lots of hand washing, cleaning with bleach etc but I failed. Now I have it too and he has the diarrhoea part again after starting to feel better yesterday.

I had two days of a dodgy stomach then today I’ve been running to the toilet all day abs it’s just been falling out of me in pure liquid. Now five year old has started too. He’s not quite made it the last two times and of course it’s ended up on his clothing. DP is out the country and the two year old so far doesn’t have gastric symptoms. Although he was ill last week when all this started with a high temp and splatty poos.

So what the hell do I do now? How should I manage it? Five year old was just starting to eat again after days of eating nothing. Do i stop him eating and stick to water again?

I don’t think you should stop small children from eating if they want to but keep it as plain as possible.
Keep changing your towels as much as possible and don’t share them, stop you reinfecting each other.

If he's hungry let him eat. Carb rich foods are best.

Towels! Hadn’t even thought of bloody towels. Why are the towels a problem? Is it ones you use for hand washing or bath towels?

Both kinds.

And don't reuse kitchen cloths if you use them for mopping
Bin them.

Are you able to send someone out for children's electrolyte drink? Get some sports drink for yourself too. You could do a grocery delivery..

Even if you wash your hands - when you dry them there might be traces on there. Same with a shower or kitchen towels.
Best way to share germs. We’ve used kitchen roll after stomach bugs to dry our hands before
