Swollen lymph node for over a week, no symptoms of illness.

Other than feeling a bit tired I have no other symptoms, no cold symptoms, no sore throat, just this one lump just under my ear on my jaw line. Should I be worried? It’s got bigger over the past 2 days so showing no signs of disappearing.

Impossible to say if you should worry or not. If it's getting bigger then there is no harm in getting it checked at this stage though it may well be they do watchful waiting to see if it goes away before they consider anything more. The best plan to try and put your mind at rest is to get it checked at the GP because we all understandably worry - thankfully usually we don't need to though. Hope it all works out ok.

My baby DS had one that was the size of an egg in his neck, and other smaller ones behind his ears, he did have a cold though so was down to this. However, it took about 2 months to disappear completely afrer he was better. The doctor said if its not sore to touch and can be moved when touched then it's likely harmless.

Thank you, I will leave it until the end of the week and if it’s still there I will get it checked it’s probably nothing, I’m pretty fit and showing no other symptoms, hopefully just a random swollen gland.
