Sudden patches of red skin (pictures)

From no-where I have small (20 pence sized) patches of red skin. They were mainly around my boob with a bit elsewhere but today my back has a good smattering.

They aren't itchy. I haven't changed washing powered or shower gel for some time. I have taken up a fair bit of exercise recently and did wonder if I was suddenly showering too much.

I've lost weight in the last 6 months and I'm now at goal weight. But the loss was all pretty sensible, slow and steady.

I do have rosecea but my skin elsewhere has never been particularly sensitive.

Any ideas what this is? It's not bothering me, but it doesn't look normal when stood naked in front of a mirror!

Psoriasis maybe. When mine's flared up it looks similar.

It may be pityriasis rosea.

I agree - looks like pityriasis rosea. Very common, totally harmless but just not very nice to look at. Try googling pityriasis rosea nhs for more info & pictures

Thanks. Yes, reading online that sounds about right. Thankfully it's not itchy. Let's hope it passes quickly!
