any tips on avoiding carsickness

ds has started to be sick on journeys longer than our usual 20 mins to town, i don't think perhaps we're leaving a long enough gap after he's been fed and travelling although it has never bothered him before (he's 15 months)

Has anyone got any tips apart from carrying loads of wet wipes!

my dad swears by kwells, my aunt swears by those acupuncture wrist badn things - either of these interest you?

dd suffers from travel sickness and we recently found that sea bands (or something) really helped, especially for short distances. I think we got them in Boots.

For longer journeys, Phenergan works well (for dd anyway) but I think it's for slightly older children.

Crack open a window for some fresh air and don't go straight after he's been fed, maybe it's just a phase. Don't know what else you could use for a 15mo, sorry.

Hmm, not so easy at 15 months but try and make sure he's looking out of the window. So remove a sun visor and any toys that cause him to focus inside the car. If his eyes adjust to the horizon changing it should help with motion sickness. Admittedly I was older but I had dreadful car-sickness as a child (Dartford Tunnel still has horrid memories) and the only thing that worked was sitting in the front seat where I could see out completely, of course, that's certainly not possible these days! Maybe keep talking so his head is at least up focusing on you rather than down in to his lap??

Avoid milk drinks shortly before the journey.
