Can Chickenpox make the child more grumpy than usual after he's recovered?

Hi
My son (2) had chickenpox, the last spots dried up 10 days ago. He wasn't especially pampered while ill. But he is being extraordinarily stroppy and difficult at the moment. I think this is caused by the chickenpox, not his age- has anyone else experienced this? Can the virus cause this?

Thanks
