First injections and calpol question

ok cos my GP is crap my ds had his first set of injections today, he is 2 days short of 3 months old and I have given him 2.5ml of calpol about 2 hours ago. atm he is sleeping for 20 then both injection sites flame up, bright red with a purple dot in the middle (sort of covers his whole thigh!) and he screas for about half an hour to an hour

Is all this normal for first jabs?

Also the calpol bottle says a 5ml spoon can be given to him at 3 months should I give him 2.5ml more, tbh the first dose isnt doing much the poor little mite!

I personally would give him another 2.5ml.

I gave dd 2.5 half an hour before her jabs and 2.5 immediately after.I then followed it up 4 hrs later.

If he is unhappy and you are not exceeding the dose then it can only do some good.

You have my symathies-I know how nerve wracking it is with the first.
