Bmi 26.5, so overweight but not obese. Suffered with bad leg swelling in pregnancy (baby now 8mo), I lost 2.5 stone almost immediately which must have been water & baby etc, have now put almost a stone back on.

When I cross my legs, or kneel on the floor they feel exactly like they did when swollen, like they’re going to pop. I was a size 8 pre pregnancy, so this is my first time being over weight - is this how normal heavier legs feel? Or do knees look swollen?

Obviously I need to lose weight anyway but they just feel wrong...

To tell if it's swelling or fat, press your thumb hard into the flesh over the bone on the front of your leg, for at least 5 seconds, then let go. If it springs back to level, it's almost always fat. If it leaves a dent, that takes a little time to refill, it's almost always fluid. If it is fluid, see a doctor.

From your picture, I don't think your legs look particularly fat or swollen...but you know your own body shape better than we do.

Aha - seems it’s fat then Blush. I’m 2-2.5 stone heavier than my average weight so need to do something.
