adult eczema and evening primose oil

I'm hoping someone out there will be able to tell me if taking high strength EPO helps their eczema and if so how high is high strength?

I was prescribed 'Epogam' Evening Primrose Oil years ago for excema. I found that it worked very well for me.
I've been looking it up online, but the medicine licence for it was withdrawn in 2002 because the therapeutic value was unproven.
At the time I think the strength was 240mg and I took 4 capsules x twice daily.
