he fact that there is no rash on the trunk is also a v good thing (according to my GP)

If the rash was stable and not changing that is good too.

dinny · 07/05/2007 23:37

Gosh, what a stressful time for you. Is the KD-behaviour a lasting thing or will it come to an end?

kittylette · 07/05/2007 23:44

i think i made DP feel like a bit of a prat for panicking but im glad hes taken him as id just be worrying all night and then theres the dreadful 'what ifs' iykwim

now its just awful waiting for the phone to ring,

i know they;ll have only just arrived and theres no phones in a&e so i probably wont get a call for a while ... i hate waiting

wish i couldve gone with him

he looked so small wrapped in his duvet

you've done the right thing - esp as your dh was panicked. try and relax a bit - he'll be OK. xx

I just wish theyd phone me to tell me whats going on. even just let me know they are waiting ect ...

Phone a and e and they will let you know whats happening. More than likely the rash round eyes was just burst blood vessels from getting sick.

Please try not to worry too much (I know easier said than done). My 4mo baby was sent to a&e from our doctors a couple of months ago as he was screaming and has rash on his body. They kept us waiting is a&e ages and then one consultant wanted to admit us but her senior said he was ok! I think they do like to be over cautious with young children especially. Hope he is better today and hopefully discharged after he's been checked over. ((hugs)) from one parent to another!

TheKnightsWhoSayNi · 08/05/2007 08:03

Hi kittylette, hope DS is a lot better this morning

pigsinmud · 08/05/2007 09:07

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry. My ds1 had a weird rash on his legs when he was 6 months old - absolutely fine in every other respect... they kept him in hospital for an entire weekend. Hope he's better this morning.
