My DS1 makes the most loudest farts ever and in his sleep!!! My DH says he takes after me but I disagree!! I think it has to be a male thing!!

Can't tell you the amount of times I've lifted DD up to smell her bum, assumed the guff was a poo, taken her nappy off and found nothing there apart from a mushroom cloud of mustard gas.

glassslipper · 06/05/2007 21:11

lol. my DD is nearly 5 months now and she stinks!!

LadyTophamHatt · 06/05/2007 21:13

omg, you've just reminded me of the first night we put ds to sleep upstairs in the moses basket. before then, we'd had him downstairs with us all evening. we settled in the sitting room for our first evening of peace in ages and all we could hear on the baby moniter was a succession of trumps. lasted about an hour, dh was so proud .

and yes, they do stick. dd's are even worse.

stink, not stick

must do spellcheck, must do spellcheck

LadyTophamHatt · 06/05/2007 21:22

yes, speccy, but there are farts that wiff a bit and then there are farts that can strip wall paper abd perm your hair from 100 paces.

\DS4s are the latter

Both DD and DS have always had very stinky farts.

When DS was a tiny baby I watched him wake himself up with one of his own farts (it was that loud).

Nikki76 · 06/05/2007 21:36

My DS's used to stink but turned out it was the SMA! When we changed him to Aptamil he was fine...he still trumps away though - particularly when stretching in his cot - very cute!

MrsJohnCusack · 06/05/2007 21:55

oh same here
8 week old DS's farts FAR smellier than the poos.
spend the whole time checking his nappy, because when he does poo it is a major production involving a full change of clothes. It goes EVERYWHERE. can't remember DD's being so triumphant
