Ongoing pinching sensation on left side abdomen

No drip feed so the background as concise as possible:
52, menopausal, last period 4 years
Gallbladder removed 3 years
Prior to that I had the left side pain, diagnosed Ulcerative Colitus then Diverticulitus.
Loose bowels daily
Under gastro but been 18 months since last seen, due in 4 months again.

Pain both sides intermittant , Right side sometimes tender, left side varies from stabbing to pinching.
Bloat in belly , wheat and dairy minimal which does help. Don't drink .
Recent smear normal
Waiting for scan on pelvic organs

Any behind-the-screen ideas (and yes , I know you can't give me a diagnosis, I just want a whinge )

Ahh, this thread wafted off into the ether .
So.

I had my scan, waiting for results now.
The pain in my left side was so bad it kept me awake most of Wed night so I had to take a desperate Mebeverine to get me through work.

Once my results are back I'll either have an answer or be none the wiser .

Ah sorry to hear that. Dh has Colitis and it very much sounds like that. He gets side pain that is unbearable. Good luck with getting a diagnosis and speedy treatment I'm getting fairly similar symptoms and no one has ever worked out what it was. I recently changed doctors as the previous ones fobbed me off. Do you take aziotheraprine? (I think it's spelled something like that!) DH has found it really helps his UC.
