I woke up yesterday with a dull pain in my ear, that gradually got worse throughout the day. To try and see what was wrong, I tried to feel the ear. It is painful to put a finger into my ear canal and the outer bit hurts a bit as well.
It's throbbing today quite painfully, and it really hurts to sleep on the side of the painful ear. Is this an ear infection? If so, will it go away on its own? Could it be caused by using earphones a lot?
