Has anyone doubled the dose of the mini pill?

I can’t use the combined pill due to migraines so they have put me on the mini pill. However I appear to have a small period roughly every 2 weeks on it. (Have been on it since November) it was suggested by the docs to try doubling the dose for a month. I can’t find information on this to see if this could work/is safe?

Hello, I did this for about a month. I took one pill every 12 hours, rather than two at once.
I did it becuase I had constant spotting for weeks. it completely disappeared after about a week and once I went back to 1 per day my periods have been more regualr and last around 1-2 days. (or they don't come at all)

I felt perfectly well while taking two.
