is this menopausal? keeping waking up 3 or 4 in the morning? need an inhaler?

i had a chest infection back october
did recover after about 8 weeks but the last few weeks although not an infection started waking up again?
is this menopausal?
could my newly prescribed inhaler be the actual cause?
i was told back in oct i had asthma but no further discussion.
a GP queried COPD but no further discussion

anyone any similar symptoms?

do you have trouble breathing when you wake up at 3am?
