DD hasn't eaten solid food for five days due to cold - should I worry?

She's six and a half months and she has a bad cold, cough and general ennui (seriously she's that cool ).

She's breastfeeding like it's going out of fashion but has refused all solids for five days now. Still having poopy and wet nappies but wondered if this was a problem.

She's on the 98th percentile so I'm not worried she's going to waste away just yet, but am having a 'new mum' moment.

if she beats DDs 10 day record, we'll talk !

na, breast milk and lots of it is fine, she'll get back into solids when she is feeling better and less ennui - ed!

Thanks Lulumama, I thought so too but wanted to check with someone who'd experienced it.

She's wearing me out though - I've lost four pounds in weight in a week (not complaining about that though!)

it is horrid when LO is poorly, and you just want to make them better !

when she sleeps, prop up the mattress a bit, so mucus drains away, and rub a little snuffle babe on her chest and back, to help soothe , and steam is good for congestion too

lots of cuddles and milk will help

as long as she is hydrated, this will pass, and she will be back to normal soon
