I think I may have a cold sore inside my nose and I am going on a date tomorrow..

I think i have a cold sore inside my nose- it is not visible and it has been a bit sore and crusty for the last couple of days and I twigged today thats what it may be.

I have occasionally had cold sores on on my lips but never inside my nose... could he still catch it from me even though its inside my nose? I am clutching of straws but I am hoping someone will come along say it should be ok and it is only a sore....ah shucks

the virus is in the sore wherever it is, so if he kisses your nose, he may catch it. Chances are he won't kiss your nose!
My daughter has either sores on her top lip (which responds really well to zovirax if applied as soon as nasty cold sore is detected) or on the nose, though zovirax hasn't been so helpful then.
I think you're ok to kiss with a cold sore on the nose!

Isn't it right that the virus sheds and can spread from any skin to skin contact? Seems a bit risky when it's somewhere so close to the lips?

The sore is inside my nose (not on my nose) that is if it is a cold sore ...

But a little peck on the lips should be ok?.... As opposed to a full snog so he will not be kissing my nose.
