Post opp symptoms or bad reaction to mirena coil?

Hi all, I've come out of long term lurking to seek the wisdom of MN.

I had a laparoscopy and mirena coil fitted 8 days ago and I'm still not recovering. I went to the GP on Monday and although she was extremely thorough, she couldn't find an explanation. She took bloods/swabs but it will take 7 days to get the results.

I have no energy, massive palpitations that make my whole head throb, light headedness/dizzyness and no appetite (which is not like me at all) I haven't really had much pain or bleeding and the wounds all look pretty good, no redness and healing well. I felt slightly better yesterday morning and thought I had turned a corner, I then went down hill again in the afternoon and I'm back to square one again today.

The GP suggested that I've just had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic but I'm not sure if I'm having a bad reaction to the coil, I really want the coil to work for me as I've had it done to treat bad PMS symptoms but I'm tempted to ask them to remove it to see if it makes a difference as I can't go on like this much longer.

I've got 2 young DC's that I'm struggling to take care of and DH is self employed so we can't afford him to have anymore time off work to help me. No local family to help either so I haven't got time to put my feet up and wait and see.

I'd be really grateful to hear anyone's experiences or suggestions that maybe helpful or reassuring to me. Thanks for reading

I had a laparoscopy a few years ago and it took a good 10 days to recover. I felt really sluggish and tired. I had general discomfort.

Since then I have had a coil fitted. I haven't had any issues with it. My periods stopped immediately but I've had no side effects at all.

Thank you so much for replying, that's really reassuring. I'm actually feeling worse this evening but maybe I over did it when I felt a bit better yesterday. I'm really hoping that it's not the coil causing this.

Weirdly I've have very little pain, I had a bit of discomfort for about 48 hours and then felt a bit fragile but no pain at all today
