Conjunctivitis ... aargh!

Yesterday, we went to visit a friend, to be social, and also to try to ensure DS2 catches chicken pox off his DD.

DS2 is still spot-free (I know, long incubation time, blah blah blah, I just want it all over with, though), but I seem to have caught bloody conjunctivitis. (The adult friend has it in one eye.)

Thing is, neither of his kids have it. Neither of mine do. I had physical contact with his kids and my kids, but not with him.

Is it more likely I caught this from him, somehow, or that I caught it because I got a bunch of dust in my eye earlier in the park and was rubbing it?

Oh, and can anyone point me at a good page on hand-expressing? I want to put some milk in my eye, but can't seem to get any out ... grr ...

You can buy drops/ointment for conjunctivitis over the counter in the chemist now. I rang NHS direct who told me to get drops with a particular active ingredient (unfortunately I've chucked the packet so can't tell you which). Ask the chemist and I am sure they will be able to sort you out.

It isn't too bad now, I will probably just let it sort itself out, probably. (And I'll try milk before drugs, if I have to ...)
