DS zonked after first jabs

DS (9 wks) had his first jabs at 10am today, was fine until about 2pm then kicked off with major inconsolable crying. We gave Calpol at 3 and he has been totally zonked since then, is this a normal reaction? (This is the boy who never sleeps more than 30 mins in the day!)

Not sure if it's a reaction to the jabs or the Calpol (first time he's had it...). Also should I try to wake him for some awake time before bedtime, or just let him sleep and accept we'll have an unsettled night?

Mr DS slept from early evening after his first jabs (and consequent first Calpol dose). Tried to wake him for a feed and he wasn't too interested and slept all night.

It was the first time he had slept through.

And the last (now 14 months)!!! So, provided you are not worried that he is sleeping, enjoy it while it lasts!!!!

I have learnt with jabs to just go with the flow - they feel crappy, if they want to sleep it off, then let them sleep.

my ds was the same - back to normal after 3 days though
