Mouth sores and ulcers

Hi I know that this sounds pathetic but it’s really getting me down. I suffer from stress and anxiety, so much so that I have virtually buggered up my mouth. In my sleep I grind my teeth, chew the inside of my mouth and have ulcers/lumps all over my tongue. It sounds like nothing but really it is so painful and causing pain in my ear now. Has anyone had anything similar or any Drs or Dentists around for advice? Tia Flowers

Every time I was stressed or over tired, I used to get mouth ulcers and tongue ulcers that lasted for about two weeks.

To get rid of the pain (and be able to eat) I used Difflam sore throat spray as a mouth wash -

It is a bit dear but when you have ten ulcers in your mouth, it is well worth it.

In the mean time I read about SLS in toothpaste causing mouth ulcers, so I changed to using a toothpaste without SLS in it.

I didn't think it would make any difference and I totally forgot about mouth ulcers until I ran out of toothpaste and used my DS's toothpaste for a few days.

Low and behold, mouth full of ulcers.

I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but I have gone back to my non-SLS toothpaste and I haven't had a mouth ulcer since, amazing!!

Ask your dentist about a mouth guard to wear at night to stop the grinding and chewing.
