Had to go to hospital last night DD dislocated her elbow. Doctors said it very common. Is this true?

Apparently will just get better by itself. They did pull it back into socket.

my dd has done this three times and broken her elbow once! they said that it was common to me (i was freaking out about them thinking it ws some sort of abuse) and that she would probably have it again up to about the age of 5 (she's 3.5 and did it for the first time aged 19 months). when she broke it she had a plaster cast but for the dislocations nothing at all and she's been fine as soon as it's put back into place.

I agree, DS dislocated his when he was younger, they told me it happened all the time too. They also said once he had done it the first time he would more than likely do it again but (touchwood) he hasn't done it since.
