i am a 48 year old mum who has this in both hands and will have to have both hands operated on. Am moving house so had to postpone my hospital date in May .
Anyone else been through this...is it ok after op, does it hurt,
Probably wont get too many responses cos its only common in middle aged woman as opposed to younger woman.

I had carpel tunnel when I was pregnant - but mine went after using a splint for several months.
Sorry to hear that you need an op

I had carpel tunnel when I was pregnant I also had lower back pain.
I did not have an operation I had Sports medicine physiotherapy that concentrated on the alignment of my spine. I was given a rehabilitation programmed tailored to my body and pilates exercises.

Which was excellent.
