Drs for a cough?

Have had a chesty cough since Wednesday, I feel ok but it is not really clearing, have a slight wheeze when I breathe.

Dr or not?

(i have a cold as well at the moment)

are you coughing up crud, and if so what colour is it?

yes but its just normal snot colour - had a phase of gross green stuff but that stopped after about 24hrs.

I wouldn't go unless you have a likely chest infection (ie green crud). Other reasons to go would be if you have asthma or some other chest condition and the cough is making things worse. Or if you are coughing up blood.

Chances are it is a virus. Pain killers, fluids and rest

If it doesn't get better then see the doc. ATM I think it would be a waste of your time.
