I feel absolutely gutted for her.

She was diagnosed with womb cancer last yearo and was given an hysterectomy with no need for any further treatment. Now she has this. It is not secondary cancer, apparantly it is just bad luck. Does anyone have experience of cancer returning that is not related to the original cancer? Can it really not be connected to the original cancer?

THe last year has been the worst year of my life, we also had a bereavement in the family. I was just starting to see the light through the end of the tunnel and now this.

nogoes, so sorry to hear about your sis.
I think we forget that 'cancer' isnt all one illness, every cancer is a different disease, with different causes and outcomes. So its quite possible to get different ones.

Hope your sis gets good news

nogoes my mil has just been diagnosed with breast cancer too and goes in for surgery on wed. My dh is past himself with worry as are we all. Also my mum had endometrium(womb) cancer 3 years ago but after surgery is very well now. I always worry about it returning but i guess you have to try and put it to the back of your mind and hope it doesn't. Just wanted to say i understand what you are going through atm and i'll be thinking of you.
