Anybody else essentially have PMS for most of their cycle?

I’m getting a bit down about certain symptoms I can only attribute to my menstrual cycle, which seem to be lasting rather a long time each month.

I have very easy periods, which almost always come within a day of the date predicted by the app I use to track them. My cycle is a reliable 31-32 days, with only a couple of days of moderate bleeding, and no pain. However, I have noticed that I get signs of ovulation quite early, usually around day 10. These signs are distinctive discharge and usually a stitch-like pain in the approximate location of my right ovary.

The day following this I wake up with tingling breasts, which a day later again have already started to become quite swollen and tender, and this gets worse to the point of being almost unbearable by the time my period begins. Accompanying this is fluid retention which results in me being almost a full stone heavier on the day my period begins compared to just 3 days later when it’s all over (I’m quite a slim person and this is very noticeable). This essentially means that I’m spending over half of my cycle in discomfort, and I’ve noticed that in the last year or so it’s been getting reliably worse.

Is it even worth attempting to get an appointment with a gp to discuss this? Or is this just fairly normal for PMS and I’ve just been lucky until recent years?
