Just hit my blood test results. I suffer from underactive thyroid.

Any idea why? Nothing has changed. I’m on 50 Levo.

Underweight and I badly feel the cold, but other than that - no symptoms.

I’m feeling concerned.

On Levo you should be aiming for a TSH around 1 and FT4 and FT3 towards the top of their reference ranges. 50mcg is not even a starter dose if you're under 60 and don't have heart disease, so I'm not sure what your GP is thinking. They should have tested you every 6 weeks and upped your dose until they got it right.

The fluctuations in your TSH are probably caused by antibody activity and nothing to worry about as it goes, but you do need to get properly medicated to avoid problems in future.

Have you take any steroids recently? Have you been taking your levo pill in the same way? If you eat or drink anything within 30mins to 1 hr of taking it, it can impact the absorption. I also agree that they are not giving you enough levo, your dose needs upping imho
