Since the middle of December-ish I have had a really painful inner ankle on my right foot. I thought I had banged it or sprained it and basically ignored it in the hope it would heal of its own accord. It actually became more and more painful and I found it difficult to put any weight on it
A couple of weeks ago I actually went to the GP, who diagnosed cellulitis. As I have a large patch of psoriasis (pic 3) this seemed probable so I took antibiotics and elevated my foot for over a week
There was no improvement apart fr a slight reduction in swelling of the lump
under my ankle bone. The pain varies from manageable to excruciating and I am finding I can't put any weight on it. It constantly burns and then a shooting pain up into my leg.
I visited the doctor again on Tuesday and a different GP said there was no sign of cellulitis now, that other blotches were 'just my skin' and that the pain is arthritis which I have in other joints. The meds I take for this slightly ease the ankle pain but otherwise it is constantly there.
I don't know what to do. I happily use public transport but dread going out now. I actually feel quite poorly and have spikes of high temp and shivering.
Any ideas Oh Medics of MN? I am open to remedies and any ideas to support my ankle will be welcomed.
I am eating more sensibly as I know losing weight would maybe help.
