In Tower Hamlets they give all babies BCG at 6 weeks as a matter of course. DS had no side-affects from it at all.

yes - same as when we lived in Ladbroke Grove, dd had a her bcg at 6 weeks and was fine (but the 'reaction' time is about 3-4 months later).

here you dont get it til you are 14

DS now 13 months and never had a reaction. He also has a small neat scar. I think you only get it early in areas where there is a high risk of TB.

Depends where you are np -- in the big inner cities and some other areas they are vaccinating babies because of TB being on the rise again.

we're in singapore. dd2 is now 4 wks old. she had it just after birth

In my borough, they're doing all babies at 6 weeks. I was told you had to then wait 4 weeks before the other vacs so if you don't have it before then, then you have to wait until 13 months I think. I didn't really see the necessity of DD having it especially as 1/2 mile down the road in the next borough they're not offering it, but was told I should if she was going to local nurseries etc. Didn't bother her but 4 months on, its still pussy and weeping.
