I've been having a run of dreadful migraines in the last couple of weeks and am now 19 weeks pregnant. I called our GP surgery yesterday to ask for some telephone advice; the ante-natal GP wasn't in but the very helpful (!) receptionist tracked down the community midwife who came to the phone. She then liaised with the duty doctor about what I could take other than paracetemol and the duty doctor said to go to bed and wait for a GP to call round. There was a doctor at the door within the hour who was very sympathetic and helpful. He gave me a prescription and when I was able to get to the chemist they gave me 2 tablets & a glass of water to take straight away as it would take 10-15 minutes to get the full script made up/printed etc.
So from the GP receptionist via the midwife, the GP and the pharmacist huge thumbs up for fabulous (and free!!!) service.
