Hi Essbee - just wondered how you are getting on now with the cipralex?
I started an older one at about the same time as you but things havent improved and dr has said to give it another week or so but that that they will change me - prob to cipralex or cipramil.
Hope you dont mind me asking.
I know you wrote about horrible side effects at first but as you hadn;t put anymore more wondered if things had improved. (Hope so!)

Hi Essbee - thanks for replying! I'm really glad - you sound so much better!!
The side effects are like the ones you get with SSRI's but worse and they just don't seem to be going away. Also you have to build up the dose slowly and Im nowhere near the dose they think I need to be on so goodness only knows what the side effects will be like then. but the main problem is that I just don't feel any better.
Anyway - got to give it another couple of weeks if possible but after that will probbaly have to change.
Thanks again for the info - its really useful!

Hi Esbee - only just seen this.
I see youve been posting on loads of other threads so hope that means you're still feeling good.
Ive been on clomipramine for 5 weeks now and the side effects are still v bad. VV dizzy, strong muscle jerks and v bad constip.

I thought my mood had lifted slightly but then this weekend has been very bad again. Got to see dr again on tuesday so not sure what they will suggest.

Thanks for asking how Im doing.

hi kizzie - hope I am allowed to post on this!!
Sorry that you don't seem to be having much luck with the clomipramine. It certainly looks like time either for them to reduce your dose or more likely to try you on something else like cipramil. Has anything stressful happened or could you be premenstrual at the moment which is lowering your mood?
