I have scars that are about 10 years old and very noticeable still, can be quite embarrassing and wondered if there was any way I could get rid of them?

You can get special make up, and I think there may be a way that you can have them tattoed or lasered or something, but maybe ask your dr?

Thanks, I think I will see the dr when I can. Not keen on anything medical but will have to consider that. I'll have a look for the make-up in the mean time, isn't facial though so would it still be ok to use?

Talk to your pharmacist. There are special silicone sheets you can buy that can reduce scars. Not sure how effective they would be on such old scars though.

Look in the pharmacy for 'scar reduction patches' (Elastoplast do them amongst others).

I used them on a caesaren scar and they relaly did work.

Someone I know swears by bio-oil. Is supposed to be good for reducing look of scars/stretch marks etc and is from chemists.
