DS2 is suffering badly with wind - both ends. It's not upseting him too badly except when I put him down to sleep after feeding at 7pm. He goes to sleep then wakes up crying, I pick him up, he burps and goes back to sleep. This cycle repeats itself 3 times over about an hour. I'm giving him infacol. Any ideas??

Are you b/f or formula? If formula, you may want to consider changing it?

gripe water made my DS do burps which made the windows rattle - also you need to use infacol before every feed and over a week or so to really see an effect IIRC

Breastfeeding with one formula feed at 10.30pm. He actually seems less windy after the formula than after my milk! Have been using infacol for 2 weeks now but haven't tried gripe water yet. Will do - thanks

Isn't Colief the remedy of choice nowadays? It wasn't invented when my dd was born but apparently its the business

Hi ponylove. I had this problem and solved it by drinking some herbal tea especially for breastfeeding mums. It had I think fennel in it. It wouldn;t have been my drink of choice but did help. I got it from our chemist (who is a bit new agey)

Have you tried cutting wind producing foods out of your diet (onions, garlic, cabbage, beans, cheese etc.)?
