Stomach ulcers from h pylori

Hello
I was just wondering if anyone on here has this bacteria that they're aware of? A lot of people have it with no problems. It's common about 60%+ have it and it can cause no troubles. But for me it is. After a few months of just assuming it was IBS, I eventually started getting a gnawing ache around where my liver is. At first I bricked it thinking my love of wine had caught up with me but liver IBS were perfect! However the stool samples I did showed this h pylori bacteria was present and thus the ache is most likely an ulcer. I also have a sharp pain in my lower abdomen which I'm pretty sure is an ulcer too.
I'm on antibiotics and anti acid med but a week in still have the pain. Bit worried about it and was hoping someone may have had some experience with this horrible illness. Thank you x

I had a dueodenal ulcer caused by h pylori. It was excruciating. It was treated with anti-biotics and I felt better very quickly

Haven’t had any problems since but I do avoid things like ibuprofen

Thank you @NeverTwerkNaked (love the username btw ) that's really good to hear as the ulcers are all I'm worried about. I'm sure the meds can kill of the nasty bug. Do the ulcers just heal of their own accord then? How long does that take?

my memory is pretty vague, but I seem to remember I was pretty much back to normal within a week or so. I don’t know if i has additional meds as well, just remember the h pylori being mentioned as the cause and getting antibiotics. I was in so much pain at the time I wasn’t paying much attention!
How are you feeling now?

Thank you @NeverTwerkNaked for your advice and checking in x
I'm feeling more lively than I have done in months! I thought I was just exhausted from the kids but it would seem they've not for the better of me (yet) and it was this horrible bacteria all along. The antibiotics I'm sure are starting to work. Week done. Week to go. Side effects not too bad either. I'm taking a medicine called omeprazole too but can still feel the ulcers. They're more of an achy pain but one of them at the bottom of my stomach absolutely kills if I press it or wear a waistband that's tight.
Really appreciate, so much, a positive story that it can be cured and hasn't caused trouble since Smile

That sounds like progress Smile
Yes, never had another one and that’s in over 10 years! I have avoided most painkillers though and always told Drs of my history before letting them prescribe anything!
