Lump in boob when found out I’m pregnant

So I found out I’m pregnant about 3 weeks ago now and found a lump in my right boob. I keep shrugging it off but it’s starting to really play on my mind now.
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow but just need to talk to someone!
It’s at the top of my boob. Quite hard and round. Probably about an inch in width. Feels smooth.
Can’t really tell if it moves when pushing it as I have huge (38jj) boobs so everything moves no matter what!
I stopped breastfeeding my now 11 month old daughter about 7 months ago and havnt had any problems since.
My boob aches quite abit and seems to only be that boob.
Has anyone been through anything similar and what was the outcome?
How do I know if the lump is a dangerous lump?
Thanks a lot x

I can’t really help except to point you in the direction of Mummy’s star charity. Not that I’m saying you have cancer but they have a forum which offers help at every stage of testing etc too I believe x chances are it’s just due to change in hormones but you are right to get it checked

I'd say hormonal and breastfeeding and pregnancy and all that. Probably nothing to worry about but please keep us posted Thanks

Probably nothing (9 out of 10 lumps are not cancer) but you should know that a lump that appeared in my boob whilst still BF and after mastitis has in fact turned out to be cancer. I ignored it for a good long time assuming it was some kind of blockage/scar tissue. Like I say odds very much in your favour, but do please get it checked.

Any update OP?

Tanyelx · 06/01/2018 18:17

@pollythedolly went to the doctors yesterday. She wasn’t concerned as I’m pregnant. I asked for scans or tests and she said if it’s still there when you’ve had your baby then they will deal with it. Not happy with the outcome at all.

Just saw this Op. You are right to be unhappy with your doctor’s response. In the highly unlikely event that there’s anything nasty there, you really cannot wait 9 months to deal with it. Push for testing - GPs are not infallible.

Oh no go back to a different GP and demand a referral - and make a complaint to the practice manager while you’re at it! Wishing you all the best.

Definitely push for further tests. Like others say, you can't wait 9 months for it then to be looked at. Ask to see a different GP xx
