Period pain, spotting and irregular periods

Hi I’m new on here! Wonder if anyone can help? I have had irregular periods for the last year now but I’m mid forties so just thought it was the perimenopause. However my last period ended a week ago but I’ve had period pain since and spotting. Has anyone else experienced this or got any advice please? I am seeing the nurse Friday for a routine smear so will mention it then too. Thank you

Good idea to mention it at your smear. If this is unusual for you, which it sounds like it is I would also ask for a scan just because polyps and other things which can cause these symptoms are quite common during peri.

Thank you. Yes will def mention it and see what she thinks as never had this before. Still got period pain today but only tiny bit of blood this morning and that’s it.
