The nurse at the walk in clinic said my lump on my leg (I found at 3pm) is a bone (boney?) spur

What is this & what does it mean?

& why do I have to see the Dr tomorrow?

I had a spur on both my heels and had them removed about 15 years ago - pretty simple procedure, one night in hospital and a week off my feet and they have not returned. I had to have them off because it was v. painful wearning shoes and sling backs REALLY don't work in the Canadian winter!!

I had a boney spur growing through my spinal cord when I was a child. It was a complicated procedure to remove it, but I think that was because of where it was rather than what it was.

Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Thanks - that sounds dealable......if that makes sense

Well it's a cyst - maybe a ganglion (sp?) cyst & it will goaway by itself - so I got all worked up about nothing...sorry

Whack it with a bible (old saying to get rid of ganglions).

Katymac · 25/04/2007 19:39

On the other hand I might not - that would hurt

Glad it's all ok. It's very difficult not to get worked up about these sorts of things, but at least you didn't have to wait long to find out. Hope it goes down soon.
