My dh has been told that he has an irregular heartbeat-in that there is an extra beat. He is due an ECG on Friday-how worried should I be?
anybody any experience of this?
he is highly stressed at the minute due to work-could this be the cause.
TIA

Yes stress could be a cause. Try not to worry too much. He should not be smoking or having too much caffeine. The ECG can be looked at and interpreted as soon as it is done, so you should have some answers straight away.

thankyou 3littlefrogs. Dh doesn't smoke or drink coffee and this has never been a problem for him before-so I am pretty sure it is the level of stress he is under at present.

Dinosaur-an update. The ecg was said to be very reassuring. There is an extra beat at times but it is not part of the hearts rhythm-so was put down to adrenalin surges. He has been told to handle his stress.

Thankyou for your kind words last week-you made me feel so much better
