Actually need advice re cyst - not a klaxon - sorry!

Teen DS has a couple of Pilar cysts on scalp (run in family.)
Back from uni for Christmas and been a bit run down.
Few days ago one of the cysts burst (I mean REALLY burst - sorry I didn't get pics for you!)
We got lots and lots of gross stuff out but it's still quite sore and still leaking.
It really doesn't look like anything so DS don't want to bother dr but it's still clearly 'active' and I don't want him to go back to uni with it not sorted.
I've started bathing it in salt water. I've also got germolene / sudocrem.
Does it need anything else ?

I would go to the doc or practice nurse and see if he needs an anti biotic to clear the infection or if it needs further draining. Especially since he has been run down he might find it doesn't heal up very well on it's own. I'd want to get it checked if it were me.
