DS's Flaky Scalp

Can anyone recommend anything for this. He's scratcing his head a lot. I've checked for passengers and he doesn't have anything crawling up there. We use Johnsons baby shampoo on him. I had asked at the chemist and they said to use Alphosyl which I thought might be a bit harsh.

daub baby oil on his head at night, in the morning get a baby comb and comb out the flakes and then wash - perfect

how old is he?

He's 4. I'm maybe just being a bit over cautious about the Alphosyl but I thought they might be a bit harsh if they're supposed to be for adults.

Thanks for the baby oil tip.

Stop using anything made by Johnsons. 'tis shyte in a bottle!

Any of the perfume-free hypoallergenic ones should be good (I use "Simple"). I also use the Detinox cradle cap shampoo every once in a while for the flaky scalp.
