Speech problem

Hi there. This is my first message on this site and I hope someone can help. I have a 4 year old son who is having problems with pronunciation of certain sounds. He doesn´t have a problem with the ends of words just the beginnings - for example he doesn´t say 'sleep' he says 'leep' and instead of 'cat' he says 'dat'. We are now able to get him to say words beginning with 'f' but he really has to concentrate before he can say it. We live in Gran Canaria and although our son goes to an English speaking school the majority of his friends are Spanish and he has 1 hour of Spanish 3 times a week. We have found it impossible to find an English speaking speech therapist on the island so we´re trying to remedy this situation by ourselves (my husband and I). Has anyone else had this problem with their child? If I don´t reply immediately it is because I´m using the computer at work (we don´t have one at home). Thanks for listening

Yes he is, although when he concentrates he can say them. He can say them at the ends of words though.
